Hi Jon! Since you're the first to respond, you're reserved seats at the demo. I'll bring an extra copy of the game, however, in case we need for anyone else who wants to join us!

Tzolk'in Great game!

This is a great game, a real brain burner, enchanced with the expansion "Tribes and Prophecies".
I will show up and play only if there is a spot available because I have played before. I will sit out if a newbie needs in.

Bora Bora The natives are restless

Tourists go to Bora Bora for rest & relaxation. You are not a tourist when playing this game - there is work to be done! :)

Construction & expansion are big aspects to this meaty game. Many ways to earn points, but the points do not come easy. Very enjoyable game regardless of the brain power that it consumes from me! :)

Takenoko Takenoko, love for this game grows bigger than the bamboo stalks

If I had to choose a perfect game to get people into tabletop gaming, this would have to be my vote and I got a friend of mine and my love to try this game for the first time at Spielbound and they both loved it!

This game is very quick to pick up for people new to the game, just takes those first two rounds of the game and it is instantly grasped. It's a game where players try to earn points from the Emperor and the player with the most points at the end of the game wins. There are three ways to score: Finding a matching sequence of land tiles on the board, growing bamboo stalks of a certain color and height, and feeding the panda pieces of different colored bamboo.

Even though the game sounds so easy, it is FULL of strategy. Do you go for high points missions to solidify your chances of winning? Do you go for easy missions and win by speed? Do you have to change your strategy cause you're actually helping another player? I love games that require a lot of strategy and for as easy as this game is to learn, there is SO MUCH strategy involved! Don't let this intimidate new players, for my girlfriend who has never played this game before, straight up TROUNCED my friend and I during our first game, and I still loved it!

Now, this comes from a guy who couldn't give Betrayal at House on the Hill a 10/10 due to a minor flaw I had with the game. I literally cannot find a flaw in this game at all. Again, it seems so easy but when you have to think about every possible outcome and do what you can to try to solidify the win, it's a game you can't help but play again and again. Since I cannot find a single flaw to the game, a definite 10/10 from this gamer!

Betrayal at House on the Hill Just can't get enough of Betrayal at House on the Hill 9.5/10

It has been quite the long time that I've heard of or seen this game played by friends, how many videos I've watched of people play it, and now I finally got a chance to play Betrayal at House on the Hill, and I couldn't recommend this game even more than I already do!

This is a meta-cooperative game, where the first half of the game the players all work together as different characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, in exploring a spooky house, a house that sits on the hill(insert your cliche drum and cymbal hit here). While you're looking through the house, you are looking for ways to boost your stats, find items, or run into Omens, which are powerful items which may cause The Haunt, which brings in a huge shift of the game.

When The Haunt begins, one or more of the players will become the villain and the other plays will have to work together to defeat the evils of the house. There are 50 different haunt plots that can happen and the house always changes with the way you lay out the room tiles.

I played with a total of five players, three of them being completely new to the game and it's real quick to learn and tons of fun to be had! With the replayability of this game and the way it is played, it would take a VERY long time for this game to get old. The only minor flaw I'd give it is there will be times where you will run across the same item, especially with the Omens themselves, but even if you get the same items, the possibilities of the actual Haunt keep the game VASTLY different.

Pandemic Great cooperative game that won't make you hate your friends

I absolutely love Pandemic. This game is relatively fast to explain and if the rules seem confusing you pick up on how it works after one round of turns. Gameplay is fast, cooperative, challenging, and easy to get into.

My favorite thing about this game is the way that it brings all of your friends together to work towards a common goal instead of having you work against each other since the game promotes open planning and information sharing between players to ensure that you're able to defeat the diseases spreading across the board. While the game is difficult to beat, it is still great fun even when you lose. I highly recommend it!
