Worker Placement

Neon Gods

Neon Gods is a story of street gangs set in a kaleidoscopic near future of heightened reality inspired by sci-fi cinema of the 1970s and 1980s.

Start your own (legitimate) businesses, and watch them flourish. Recruit the finest disillusioned ne'er-do-wells to hold your territory, and purchase black market resources that'll give you the edge. Be prepared to fight for what's yours because opponents will muscle in on your territory; defend your territory or shed some blood to take over what others have built. And don't forget the cops, who clearly don't have anything better to do than harass innocent business owners such as yourself.

At the end of every third round, players gain points for the territories they control. After nine rounds of play, the player with the most points wins control of the city. The world may not think much of you, but in the back alley glow of the neon night, you can be a god...

City of Gears

City of Gears is a unique steampunk game of exploration, area control, worker placement, and engine building. From your incredible Factory, you must race to claim ownership over the magnificent ruins of an abandoned clockwork metropolis. Each game plays in under an hour, and because only nine of the city tiles (from dozens available) are randomly chosen and placed each game, no two games ever play the same.

Each turn, you roll a number of production dice and activate City Tiles, then you move your automaton workers and perform a variety of actions (such as drawing and placing gears to reactivate areas of the city, sabotaging opponents, and activating unique steam powers) as determined by your resources. Along the way, you will develop your Factory with special powers which set it apart and provide you with powerful bonuses.

As the city is revealed and its abilities are discovered, players must concoct plans to accrue prestige and hinder opponents so that once Opening Day arrives, they will emerge victorious! Do you have what it takes to set the City of Gears in motion?

Race to the New Found Land

Daring sailors explore the oceans and make a gigantic discovery: Newfoundland. The newly found land. A huge island off the coast of North America — and right away a competition among nations breaks out. As so often happens, everyone wants the biggest piece of land. In Race to the New Found Land, you must skillfully use your fleet to consistently present achievements to your royal house. Are you quick to set sail and populate the first known lands? Do you first explore new areas? Or do you trade and build your fleet first? Find out in this exciting race to Newfoundland!

River

In The River, you and the other mayoral players each struggle to create the best pioneer settlement by developing land along a river bed in your town, collecting resources from the area, and constructing buildings. As you explore and build up the untouched frontier, your workers will settle down along the way, meaning that your other workers will shoulder more of the burden to do what you want to do, which includes making nicely organized landscapes to please the aestheticians in town.

Every decision counts in this fast and streamlined tile-placement game, and in the end the player with the most impressive settlement will win!

Montana

Halfway through the 19th century, the first permanent settlements appeared in Montana. After this, many fortune seekers traveled to this region with their caravans in search of work in order to build a better future for themselves — and there is an abundance of work as in the mountains precious metals are to be found and on the fields a lot of manpower is required. Meanwhile, the number of settlements is growing and the demand for goods is rising. Recruit the right workers, deliver goods on time, and choose your settlements tactically. Only then you will have the biggest chance of winning Montana.

In more detail, on each turn players choose one of these three actions:

Recruit: Use the spinner to get new workers.
Work: Send your workers to one of the different locations to get resources or money.
Build: Spend your resources to build new settlements.

The first player to build all of their settlements wins!
