Stay Sharp Suggests: Any Game. Any Age. Let Your Brain Play.

Research shows playing board may provide protection against this dementia. Here are five Stay Sharp suggested games to bring to your holiday celebrations. These games make great holiday gifts in addition to providing physical, cognitive, and emotional benefits for all ages and abilities.

The Game - $19.99
Players: 1-5
Time to Play: 20 mins
Game of the Year in 2015, the Game is easy to learn, fast to play, and will take everyone at the table to win! Work together to find alternative ways to communicate your cards when you aren't allowed to say any numbers in this cooperative card game.

Word Slam - $29.99
Players: 3+
Time to Play: 45 mins
How would you get someone to guess "Pineapple" or "James Bond"? This party game has teams competing to do just that – armed only with a stack of cards of Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, and Prepositions. This will give your brain a workout both as the clue-giver AND as a teammate attempting to figure it all out.

Junk Art - $39.99
Players: 2-6
Time to Play: 30 mins
There are multiple ways to play this colorful dexterity game that has you balancing different shaped pieces to create beautiful, uh... "art". Try out the Montreal version where you choose the shape your competition must balance next or the Paris player elimination variant. Don't worry -- this tactile game doesn't end if you drop a piece!

Isle of Monsters - $29.99
Players: 2-6
Time to Play: 30 mins
Isle of Monsters is great for players of all ages as you gather creatures, raise them up right, and put on "Scary Monster" competitions. The Rock-Paper-Scissors mechanic will have you searching your memory and predicting the moves of the other players while having an absolute blast!

Camel Up - $39.99
Players: 2-8
Time to Play: 30 mins
A must have for any family gathering, Camel Up sends us to the camel races where we are trying to win it all as you guess which one will come in first. This is trickier than expected, as the camels like to give piggyback rides which can really shake up the competition.
