Gauntlet of Fools Donald X. Vaccarino 9:25

Game designer--Donald X. Vaccarino--had a different take on the commonly quoted Luke 9:25 "For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself?" when designing Gauntlet of Fools. The goal of this game is simple...die with the most gold. By each embracing their inevitable deaths, each player will face up to fifty (50) encounters at the same time in order to win the most gold before they meet their Maker... all in less than 30 minutes. Some might say that's morbid, but I say that's life in a nutshell for these brave, yet cocky Heroes that will slay monsters all the while Hopping on One Leg. Gauntlet of Fools is incredibly entertaining with hundreds of possible combinations for Heroes to choose from, there's no doubt you will find yourself playing it over and over wondering how your Ninja with only one arm tied behind his back ever lost to a Wizard fighting blindfolded with a hangover.

Barbarossa Special Valentine's Weekend Demo - Adults Only!

Last year I demoed Tanto Cuore during the Valentine's Day weekend, which was totally inappropriate and lots of fun. This year, I'll be showcasing the even more inappropriate and outrageous Barbarossa. Imagine an alternate history in which the German army of World War II is entirely populated by scantily-clad anime girls, wrap up the war game theme and objectives in deck-building mechanics, and you have one of the weirdest marriages of theme and mechanics in the entire board game pantheon. It's truly one of the highlights of board gaming oddities. But it is also a very controversial game, so I encourage anyone interested in the demo to do a little research about the game at boardgamegeek.com and make sure it's actually something they can get into. Due to the nature of the theme and illustrations, this demo will be Adults Only.

Fluxx Avid Fan Question

Has anyone played with the Fluxx Dice yet? If so, what unique aspect(s) (if any) were brought by adding Fluxx Dice?

Fluxx Fluxx Revolution!

When I purchased Fluxx version 2.0, it was not only my first time buying a game online(on a whim if I may add), but it was also my first Looney Labs purchase. Following this purchase, other unexpected firsts have happened. This purchase would eventually lead me to buying several other versions of Fluxx such as Cartoon Network Fluxx, Holiday Fluxx, and Star Fluxx to name a few. The only constant in Fluxx is change which brought randomness and excitement into card games for me. I don't know about you, but there's something about a game that is re-playable, re-marketable, and consistently more impressive. As I play each of the unique variations that come out each year, I invite you to make it your first to play one of these works of arts which include, but are not limited to; Pirate Fluxx, Family Fluxx, EcoFluxx, Monster Fluxx, and even Batman Fluxx. This is not the first time I've rambled about games and it certainly won't be the last!

Sushi Go! Perfect For Any Occasion

Sushi Go! has been one of my favorites ever since we were taught this game at Spielbound by an associate whose expertise and passion for teaching games reflects the ever-increasing talented Spielbound staff. Anyways, as I mentioned, I was taught Sushi Go! along with the other groomsmen and the groom for my older brother's bachelor party. This associate made the simple game rules to Sushi Go! that much more simpler by showing us the scoring reference sheet on the back of the rule book. This game is easy-to-learn, easy-to-teach, and most important...it's fun to play! I recommend playing a round or two, however, I wouldn't count it a game until the final round when dessert is served and each player's scores are tallied. Sushi Go....perfect for any occasion!
