Favorite games: Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Dominoes and Skip-Bo - Yep, Skip-Bo!
I have played an active part developing and managing non-profit organizations for my profession. I hope that my experience can help Spielbound become not only a great destination, but that it will succeed in its mission to provide games and their subsequent education, entertainment, and team-building for all ages in our community.
Jason Caskey, Attorney, Kutak Rock
Favorite games: Munchkin (any flavor, but especially The Good, the Bad and the Munchkin), Shadowfist, Smash-Up, Alternity and Call of Cthulhu
I am an intellectual property, technology transactions and corporate attorney. Negotiating an agreement is a lot like balancing game play - one-sided is never any fun! Since playing TMNT and D&D in middle school with my buddies, overly-complicated games have been both an outlet for me and the foundation for great friendships. I am glad to be able to lend my skill sets to Spielbound as they spread the joy of gameplay throughout the Omaha community.
Floyd Pretz, Gaming Enthusiast, Co-Founder of PretzCon
Favorite games: Dominion, Risk, Power Grid, and Telestrations
I like games in any shape and size, from darts to video games, from football to backgammon, but there is something special about Board Games. I love how they bring people of all walks together and engage your intelligence and creativity all at once. I believe that anything that helps educate and entertain the community through games is a worthwhile endeavor, one that I will help Spielbound do.

Favorite games: Scrabble, Settlers of Catan, and Apples to Apples
Games and play have always had a special place in my life-- from my childhood playing Scrabble and Gin Rummy with my grandmother, to my years as a preschool and kindergarten teacher teaching through games with rules, to now as a mother and wife who shares game nights with her children and husband. I hope that my current professional connections and experiences with the US Play Coalition and The Association for the Study of Play will help provide Speilbound with a strong knowledge in the research, advocacy, and educational benefits of play. Throughout our lifetimes, play and games are a part of a happy and well-balanced life. I am honored to be a part of this exciting play movement!
Christopher Kelly, Gerontologist
Favorite Games: Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly, and Clue
As a gerontologist and a native Omahan, I am interested in ways we can improve the well-being of older adults in our community. Games provide us enjoyment and mental stimulation, give us the chance to use existing skills or develop new ones, and offer us the opportunity to spend time with our family and friends. I treasure the time I spent playing Scrabble with my Grandmother (although I should have challenged her on some of those two-letter words she played). I am proud to be a part of Spielbound, which is enriching the lives of people of all ages.
Kailey Snyder, PhD, MS
Favorite Games: Codenames, Yahtzee, Ticket to Ride
As a maternal and child health researcher and public health educator, I deeply value the role of play in fostering connection, learning, and overall well-being. My research focuses on the factors that shape the health of mothers and children, often highlighting the importance of play in child development and strengthening family dynamics. On a personal level, playing Clue Jr., Outfoxed, and Dragomino with my two children reminds me how joy and strategy bring us closer together and enrich our daily lives. I’m excited to bring my experience as a researcher and educator to Spielbound to advocate for the essential role of play in promoting health and well-being for families. Play isn’t just fun, it’s a foundation for building healthier, more connected families and communities, and I’m honored to be part of this movement.

Favorite games: Risk, Diplomacy, Settlers of Catan, Runebound, & RPGs
In my hometown of Frederick, Maryland, my family had a regular game night. I've been hooked ever since. I have lived in Omaha since 2007, attend Creighton University School of Law, and will sit for the Iowa bar this summer. I have supported small businesses like Spielbound through the Creighton Community Economic Development Clinic. When provided with the opportunity to serve Spielbound, I knew that it was something I wanted to become a contributing part of!

I have been working in the business world for the past 20 years. I currently have an MBA (emphasis in Computer Information Systems, Information Security), bachelors in Management and a bachelors in International Business. I am currently the Lead Consultant for Diversified Solutions and have years of experience helping start new businesses through the Center for Entrepreneurship for Nebraska. I have always been a board game fan but when I met Kaleb in 2008, I was introduced to a whole new world of games. I am now an avid power gamer and look forward to teaching others the benefits of learning the many types of board games that are available.
